プリンスがミネソタ州立大学から博士号を授与、”Dr.Prince”の称号を得ました。
式典はプリンスがミネソタ州立大学のテッド・マン・コンサート・ホール（Ted Mann Concert Hall）で開催、式典にはタイカ・ネルソン初め親族が参加。

式典でエリオット・パウエル教授は"impact and legacy are immeasurable（彼が残したインパクトと遺産は計り知れない）"と述べたそうです。
タイカが謝辞を述べた後、ポール・ピーターソン、ジェリービーン・ジョンソン、カーク・ジョンソン、トミー・バーバレラそして学生達による演奏も行われました。

名誉な事だからファンとしては嬉しいけど、何故このタイミングなのかな？
以前書いた記事ですが、この話は2016年にも出ていました。
アメリカは９月に入学式があるからかな？
