A man that I am tremendously proud and honored to help induct into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame tonight, because now, it is forever changed.

プリンスの言葉は、その奥に色んな想いが詰まってるので単純にはいかないのですが、ざっくり訳しておきます。（細かなニュアンスで間違ってたらごめんなさい）
When I first started out in this music industry, I was most concerned with freedom.
Freedom to produce, freedom play all the instruments on my records, freedom to say anything I wanted to.
